After-School Program – Begun in 1997, BLAST formerly the Peers Encouraging Peers (after-school) Program (PEPP) serves pre-teens and teens from the densely populated and ethnically diverse community of Upper Darby. The primary focus of BLAST is improving academic and social skills of youth at risk of being left home alone while parents or caregivers work.  The hours between 3 p.m. and 6 p.m. are considered “prime time for juvenile crime.”  BLAST keeps youth safe and in a supervised environment, with caring adults.  Click here to learn more about having a BLAST After-School.
