Objectives of Summer Day Camp
Keep at-risk
youth off the streets and in a safe environment, enabling
campers to use their time constructively during the summer,
and enabling caregivers to find and maintain steady employment;
- Assure campers readiness for school in the fall by providing
daily reading and math review for all ages;
- Provide a caring environment, which demonstrates respect
for all people and service to the community;
- and Build awareness of violence prevention and alternative
conflict resolution.
Donating only $125.00 can provide a child
with a full week at our summer camp for 2008!

Summer 2006 marked the Camp’s 13th year, and it was yet another
successful year. Each week campers ages 5-14 enjoyed activities and learning
focused on the theme "Construction Zone," building character.
Campers
participated in many activities including:
- swimming
- tennis lessons
- field trips
- and special events
- plays by the Upper Darby Summer Theater, etc
- daily reading and math review
Our Community Action Teams of 13 and 14 year olds performed
community service and volunteered at the Philadelphia Food
Bank. The Community Nurse taught proper
nutrition, sun safety, and administering first aid.
