BLAST After School
Program
Announcing the 12th Year of our After School Program
Mondays through Thursdays
Have a BLAST After School!
The Upper Darby Community Outreach After School Program, also known as BLAST
provides a safe supervised place for early adolescents to
spend time on school days while parents are at work.
Session 1: September 15, 2008 through November
13, 2008
Session 2: November 17, 2008 through January 22, 2009
Session 3: January 26, 2009 through March 26, 2009
Session 4: March 30, 2009 through June 4, 2009
Our staff works with small groups providing a variety of
academic activities, cultural enrichment, field trips, homework
help and more! It's a great place for teenagers who enjoy
meeting new friends while being active.

"Today, with so much violence it's a peace of mind to know your child is in a safe environment
that you can afford."
"My daughter looks forward to the experiences and speaks volumes about the staff and her peers."
"My child enjoys the various activities the program offers. I can see
the pride in her face when you have performances."

BLAST
is an after-school program in Upper Darby for older elementary
and middle school youth, grades 4-8. We started this 12 years
ago to:
improve reading, math and writing performance in
the regular school,
- increase life resiliency skills,
- expand students' creative & cultural opportunities,
- build mentoring relationships with adults, and
- encourage family participation.

|
Thanks to a grant from the Pennsylvania
Department of Education and the Upper Darby
School District, our After-School Program was expanded
to 3 hours a day, Mondays through Thursdays, with a reduced
cost per child.
Call the After School Director Ms. Natalie Trusty for more
information at 610-352-7037.
